Biography:
In April of 2016 David Hay became the fifth Head Football Coach in Glenwood Football history. Hay additionally serves as the program's Defensive Coordinator. He first joined the Glenwood Football program in 1994 when he was hired on to Dan Rourke's staff as a Receivers Coach. In the years since, Hay has served as a Running Backs Coach, Defensive Backs Coach, Defensive Line Coach, and Special Teams Coordinator. He had previously served as an Assistant Coach for two years at his alma mater South Fork High in Kincaid, Illinois.
Hay has graduated from Illinois State University and the University of Illinois-Springfield with degrees in Public Management and Education and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. Hay currently serves as a social studies teacher at Glenwood previously having served as an Assistant Principal.
Coach Hay resides in Chatham with his wife, Jane and their two sons, Brandon (Class of 2017) and Justin (Class of 2024).
